Greystoke Community Land Trust held its first Annual General Meeting at Greystoke Village Hall on Tuesday 8 September.
Twenty members attended, together with Councillor Judith Derbyshire, Phil Houghton from Eden Housing Association and Fran Richardson from Action for Communities in Cumbria. Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions and took part in the discussion about the Trust’s work and priorities for the coming year.
Members received reports from the Chair and Secretary, approved the Trust’s first annual accounts and elected the six current Board members for a term running until September 2028.
The Chair also gave an update on our work with Eden Housing Association towards a possible development at Poplin Field. Subject to feasibility, consultation and planning permission, the aim is to provide 12 affordable homes which remain community assets, alongside a small number of homes for sale.
The annual accounts, Chair’s report, Secretary’s report and draft minutes of the meeting can all be read on our Governance page.

Greystoke CLT now has 87 members, but we would like more people with a connection to the parish to get involved. Lifetime membership costs just £1. Members can vote at meetings and Board elections, receive updates about our work and help shape what the Trust does next.
